With thousands of criminal records yet to be digitized, the only way to find them is to physically go in person to the country courthouse. Since we know many of you don’t have the time, BeenVerified created a special network of “court runners” who will do all of the heavy lifting for you.
What is a Court Runner?
A court runner is a real-live person who goes directly to the courthouse and pulls the actual public files of any court record. This service falls outside of our huge database of public records since many records have yet to be digitalized. However, we make it as easy as possible for you to utilize this great resource.
What is the price of BeenVerified’s County Court Runner Service?
There are two separate costs involved in pricing the service. The first one is the cost of the actual court runner which is $19.95. The second “administrative” cost is determined by each individual county. This can vary from $0.00 all the way to $50. However, most fall into the $10 range.
Once you select the county you want, our application will inform you of the price. Of course you will see this cost before making a final decision to move forward with your order. Note that BeenVerified does not markup the county administrative cost.
What happens next?
Our expert court runners head to the court house and perform the search for you. Keep in mind that although this is an in depth search, it only goes back seven years. Once the court runner finds your desired information, they will relay the information back to us. We will then e-mail you as soon as the records have been retrieved and uploaded, which usually takes around 48-72 hours. From there, you can access, download, and print your up-to-date county court records.
Why is this important?
As we mentioned, there are lots of counties out there that have yet to jump on the digital bandwagon. Without the court runner resource, you’d have to go the court yourself, which is not only intimidating, but also pretty foreign to most people. And if you don’t go to the court yourself, there is little else you can do to gain the proper information. Think of court runners as those who are willing to get their hands dirty, dig through the files, and retrieve the information for you. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and not experience the headache court research usually gives people. What could be better than that?
What do you think? Have you ever used the court runner service? How was it?
