Last IIW Post of 2007!
Things are finally back to normal and I have to admit that in Internet time this post is a week overdue. (Un)fortunately, there is a growing business to be run as well. First, we wanted to thank our hosts at Internet Identity World, Kaliya Hamlin and Phil Windley, for a great event. Without them and the work they have done for IIW, I don’t even know if BeenVerified would be able to exist. Who knows what online identity and portability would be shaping up to look like without all these great minds getting together.
We also must say job well done and thank you to our friends, Eran, Chris, and everyone from the OAuth team who did a great job of getting the final spec out. We are excited to ship our own OAuth enabled API!
Also, for those unable to watch the drama at IIW unfold, another big congratulations to those involved in the finalizing and release of OpenID2.0. There are high hopes for this protocol in ‘08 and we are anxiously waiting to see which websites will go OpenID enabled next year.
We also wanted to thank those that participated in our video interviews for CenterNetworks. It was awesome to get all that footage and hear what people are working on, in their own words. We are very excited to see what Terrell Russell of ClaimID, Joseph Smarr of Plaxo, the guys at Vidoop, the JanRain team, Ashish Jain of Ping Identity, Sxip and all the rest of us involved can do to improve user-centric identity in the upcoming year. We clearly have momentum and passion behind us, the ball is in our court…
